Kaylee's Dance Recital......

Saturday was K's dance recital. It was so cute! Very busy for me as I was a helper backstage and things got very hectic at times. I picked up one of K's friends, Madison from one of her dance classes and got them both ready at the same time Sat morning. Her mom, Lise got there a while later and she watched the first show with her family and then helped backstage during the 2nd show. They had 2 shows cause the first show sold out so we had a show at 1pm and another at 6pm. WHEW!!!!!!!!!! What a LONG EXHAUSTING day we had. Each show was 3 and a half hours long with a 20 minute intermission. After the first show ended we had about 1 hour for a break then back to the show we went. K had a lot of family come to see her and she was so excited. I still cannot believe that these girls lasted the whole day. I stayed backstage for the entire first show and assisted with 4-5 girls, making sure their make-up was touched up and costumes were changed accordingly. I was having fun too although it was tiring. All of our family came to the 6 o'clock show so by this time I was pooped. The girls were still going though. K had two different dacne performances and then their class finale so she had a total of 3 outfit changes. She loved every minute of it and she did so good for her first time on stage in front of a huge audience. I went into the 2nd show and watched K's 2 performances and then went backstage again to assist with Lise, Madison's mom with the rest of the girls. By this time, the girls were getting a bit crazy and we had to try our best to keep them calm and get ready for their last finale. We walked them out behind the curtain for their last finale and then they were finally DONE! It was so neat and the girls really had a good time. I'm a little disapointed that I did not get more pictures while backstage, but we were really busy, so here are a few pics from our day. I did get her performances on video though, so that's good! Here is K and Madison and then K in one of her costumes an one of her holding her roses she got Aunt Melissa and Uncle James!!!!!

Hope you all had a good weekend.....Back to the grind tomorrow.....

Last weekend, our neighbor gave the kids a ride on his Harley. K was so scared at first but after she watched J go for a ride, she did too! Of course, I had to snap a picture of them on it!
