Then if there's any time in between, I might try and get in a lifetime movie or read some of my book; am reading BEACH GIRLS now :)

TBIT...for me...

For me, when I was a kid, I LOVED Holly Hobbie; www.hollyhobbie.com
I had the Holly Hobbie kitchen and dolls and te set, etc. I always had my younger sister and brother and the kids that my mom babysat back then in my room with me. I played school with all of them , of course I was the teacher and I cooked for them with my Holly Hobbie Stove and Kitchen Set. Those days were the best.

I also was so into Strawberry Shortcake- my younger sister and I even had a Strawberry Shortcake birthtday party at McDonalds... (I was turning 10 and she was turning 5). and she is still alive today...thats great!

I was a big time roller skater; http://skate-buys.com
I practiced roller skating all the time- I even started with the metal 4 wheelers...I was ssssooooo happy when one Christmas I got new white high top skates with PINK wheels...I rehearsed shows dancing to the Olivia Newton John RECORD-yes the record on my little table top record player in our huge driveway and even sold tickets to neighbors to come watch my brothers (who did stunts on their bikes and skateboards) and I ... geez...those were the days, huh-

well, that was a NICE trip back in time- it brought back so many memories for me...

TOMATOES...TOMATOES...TOMATOES...

Kaylee loves tomatoes... we went to our usual thurs nite taco place- (75 cent tacos and $1 beer) and she had her taco with tomatoes and then 2 side orders of diced tomatoes with it--when i buy the little cherry tomatoes, she'll sit and eat the whole basket at once. or just sliced up tomaotes with a dash of salt...i'm the only other one in our housethat even eats tomatoes...i wondered if two many tomatoes could be bad for her, but i haven't read anything but good stuff about these so called:

"Nutritional Superstars"

Tomatoes are an excellent source of vitamin C and a good source of vitamin A. They also contain fiber, potassium and iron. Tomatoes are full of health-promoting antioxidants like lycopene, which gives them their red color, and beta-carotene.

Need some ideas for fun!

Hey there everyone- just looking for some ideas of 'going somewhere'- 'mini vacation'- 'where i can take the kids', etc.---while i'm off next week. particulary looking for some inexpensive ideas... i've thought about the beach, the movies, and a few others but those just seem like 'oh the same ole thing' ... thought maybe i could get some tips from other moms out there! Any ideas, i'd appreciate it!

I might have to agree with Arnold on this one...

Measure would track sex offenders for life

08:08 AM PDT on Wednesday, August 17, 2005
By JIM MILLER and KIMBERLY TRONE / The Press-Enterprise
SACRAMENTO -

Gov. Schwarzenegger and Republican lawmakers unveiled sweeping legislation Tuesday that would require convicted sex offenders to be tracked by a satellite surveillance system for life.
Under the bill, sex offenders also could not live within 2,000 feet of a school.

Riverside County Deputy District Attorney Rod Pacheco said he and several state GOP lawmakers have been asking Schwarzenegger to help lead efforts to toughen penalties for sex offenders.
"I am glad the governor has joined the fight. This is definitely going to make a difference," Pacheco said.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Scary...Scary...Scary...

this is terrible that this continues to happen all over the world...although this one in particular is not far from our home at all. if this guy is so 'insane' then why is he being let out to roam the streets and kill innocent women, let alone one carrying a baby? can they keep getting off woth this whole insanity-mental problem thing? this is ridiculous, don't you think?

Sex-assualt victim tells of ordeal

GRAND JURY: She is one of 21 people who testified in the case of a man charged with killing a pregnant woman.

10:42 AM PDT on Monday, August 15, 2005

The woman was one of 21 people who testified in front of a grand jury that indicted Tony Lee Reynolds, 23, on murder, sexual assault and other charges. Authorities say six weeks before sexually assaulting the woman, Reynolds killed Estela Perez, 29, in her home near Fairmount Park. Perez, who was five months pregnant, was stabbed at least 33 times, including in the eye. Her throat had been slashed and she had been sexually assaulted with a foreign object. Prosecutors have said Reynolds' DNA was found underneath the woman's fingernails.

Reynolds has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to 14 felonies, including murder and sexual assault.
"He has genetic mental problems that he was born with and we intend to present those to the jury," Reynolds' attorney, Deputy Public Defender Mark Johnson, said.

Other witnesses before the grand jury included the pathologist who conducted the autopsy on Perez, who said Perez's baby, Michelle, was stabbed twice in the head; Reynolds' parole officer, Pauline McEnery, who said Reynolds changed his hairstyle and moved into another home on Antioch Avenue without telling her; and Perez's sister, Antonia Galindo, who described finding her sister's body on March 31.

Our Camping Trip...

well, we made it throught the weekend.. we had a lot of fun...the kids really had a blast. they didn't want to come home today. this was their first camping trip so they learned a lot this weekend. if it were up to them we would have stayed a couple more nights, i'm sure. we had a few set backs setting up camp and such; my sisters tent had a bracket come off the seam while trying to set up; thank goodness for back ups, huh. ( good job james ) although it was a smaller tent, it worked! then one of our coleman stoves failed on us- but the travel bbq did the trick just fine. kaylee learned how to pee in the bushes near our site, it took a few times trying but she did it. friday night was beautiful, the skies were starlit. it was absoutely amazing...eric and i saw a falling star that was unreal! later that night, james and i went walking (after the rest of the gang went to sleep) down the paths near our campsite, i was video taping while walking with my flashlight and he kept making little blair witch comments...after we got to the turn off and a fork on the path, he asked if i wanted to go back and i had already turned around...it was funny and scary... the nights were breezy but then it calmed down and was peaceful except for that you could hear every little thing. i freaked out a few times during the night from little noises outside our tent, which the guys said were probably only squirrels and jack rabbits... saturday we spent down at the lake and we went swimming and floated around in rafts and stuff. the kids' favorite time i think (as well as ours) was the classic campfire, roasting marshmellows, and making smores. they loved that! i took a lot of pics with my still camera, especially at night, you know how digitals just don't always come out the best at night and stuff. so i have film to be delevoped as well. anyways, we ARE glad to be home and to be sleeping in our own beds tonight...very glad too that we took an extra day off tomorrow... we need it!
