What a Day!

Whew, we made it! A big thank you to Heather for helping me and our guests today! Everything went extremely well and we had fun. Only a couple of small set backs, but since we were pretty much on time with every last thing there was time for a couple. One of the girls forgot her ticket and her School ID but the limo driver took her home before they got on the freeway to get them. Then Becca realized that I (we) forgot to give her the check for their pictures. OOOPPPSSS. Thank goodness the driver hadn't even gotten to the freeway yet. Well, we were busy ya now. I'm sure by now, they are getting their groove out on the dance floor. The girls are all dancing barefoot, I'm sure, cause those shoes were not made for dancing unless you are a pro. I will be awaiting their arrival home at 2:30am to see how things went. (not that I will wait up the whole time, but I'll set my alarm to get up before the Limo is due back here. ( come on now, I'm pooped out )
A couple girls will be staying over tonight- I'm sure they'll be exhausted too!

Here are some pics from today and check out my photo blog for some of my favorite pics from today as well.

~The Limo Has Arrived!~

Bye everyone! Have FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PROM DAY!!!!!!!!

Well, the day has finally arrived: YEP- Senior Prom. Wow- So you ask "How am I feeling today?" Can we all say OLD on the count of three please......1....2....3.....OLD! LOL -We have 8 teens (including Becca) showing up here around 4:30pm today. They will be having dinner here before taking off in the limo at 6:30pm to head to Angels Stadium for a night of fun and dancing! I will be serving chicken (pollo), rice, beans, torillas (all mexican style) salad and chips and salsa! My idea to have dinner here and Becca chose the menu! At first they (the party of eight) weren't to sure about eating here vs. going out to eat but after considering that eating here they would have more LIMO time, they agreed happily! It also saved them money! (cost me more but thats ok- it's her senior prom, what do you expect?) Out of the 8 teens, 5 are actually graduating from Arlington this year- GO CLASS OF 2006! So for them, I made candy jars and I scanned their prom tickets and made a little tag to put on the jar! (oh, I'm so crafty, just kidding) The tickets this year look like oversized Anaheim Angel tickets except they say Arlington High School instead of Anaheim Angels as you can see in this pic! Ok back to preparing and cleaning. Becca is going to get her make-up done now and then I'm gonna do her hair when she gets back. I will have many pics to post and share later! Hope all are having a good day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG GUY! CAN'T BELIEVE THAT YOU'RE ALREADY ONE! Posted by Picasa

Are You Bluffin?

We all played some Texas hold 'em after the party at my sisters. I am still recouping from last night. I had been out, but was dealing for the guys until about 2:30am- I finally said I gotta go lay down- Eric and my brother, Josh finished up around 4am. Eric won both rounds we played!
We ended up stayin there last night and then Jeremy had a game this am and Eric was called to umpire so we were up and outta there by 8am to get home and ready to got to to the ball field for J's game- (they won 11 to 1, YEAH!) and then get ready to leave again for another birthday party for baby cousin TJ who turned 1 today!
let me tell you, right now I am exhausted and GUESS WHAT, ERIC WENT TO HIS REGULAR POKER NIGHT TONIGHT AND HE HAS GOTTEN LESS SLEEP THAN ME~ THEY WANTED ME TO GO BUT I HAD TO NICELY DECLINE. I still have to prepare four Easter baskets. (I am waiting to make sure the kiddies are asleep) Posted by Picasa
Friday evening we went to my sister's for Vanessa's 18th Birthday Party. (Vanessa is my sister's stepsons girlfriend, who lives with them) Vanessa is graduating HS this June and did not think she was going to get to go to her Prom but with the help of my sister and hubby, she will be going to Prom next weekend. She had no clue what was in that envelope when she opened it! We had her open all the other gifts first, which were all related to or for the Prom. Like make-up, shoes, money to get her nails done, jewelry, etc. Then my sis gave her their card and she started bawling and couldn't finish reading it. But wait, there's more, they bring out her dress! She was in absolute shock! It brought tears to my eyes to see how happy she was!!!! We all put a little something in to make it happen.I think that is awesome!
After drying up her tears, she tried on her Prom dress and we all sang Happy Birthday to her! Isn't that dress beautiful!!!! Posted by Picasa

POINT LOMA, SAN DIEGO TRIP

WE WENT DOWN POINT LOMA TODAY TO SEE THE LIGHTHOUSES AND WALK THROUGH THE EXHIBITS AND TIDEPOOLS AND STUFF. IT WAS A LONG DRIVE BUT I GOT SOME GREAT PICS, ONES IN WHICH I WILL USE AS ART IN MY HOME- I KIND OF COLLECT LIGHTHOUSE STUFF. MY KITCHEN IS DONE IN LIGHTHOUSES SO IT WAS COOL TO ACTUALLY SEE ONE AND GET TO GO INSIDE OF IT TOO! THERE WAS A WAR EXHIBIT FROM BACK IN THE DAY AND IT TOLD THE STORY OF CAPTAIN ISRAEL AND HIS FAMILY WHO MAINTAINED THE LIGHTHOUSE THERE AND WHAT THEY USED IT FOR. IT WAS NEAT TO LEARN ABOUT THAT STUFF....THE KIDS HAD A BALL AND REALLY ENJOYED WALKING DOWN TO THE TIDEPOOLS. (KINDA SCARED ME A BIT CAUSE LAST NIGHT I WATCHED A SHOW ON THE DISCOVERY CHANNEL CALLED "AMERICA'S TSUNAMI- ARE WE NEXT?") I SHOULDN'T HAVE BUT I DID AND AFTER BEING DOWN THERE IN THE TIDEPOOL AREA AWHILE WATCHING THE WAVES AND STUFF, WELL IT GOT ME A BIT FREAKED OUT......JUST CALL ME MS. PARANOID, I DON'T CARE........
THE KIDS ARE LOOKING THROUGH A FRESNEL LENS WHICH IS WHAT THEY USED TO SEE AFAR BACK IN THE DAY. THEY ARE IN THE TOP OF LIGHTHOUSES FOR VIEWING OUT INTO THE SEA AND TO MAGNIFY THE LIGHTS INSIDE....
CHECK OUT MY PHOTO BLOG FOR MORE PICS: (CLICK HERE)
ANWAYS, THIS WAS OUR BIG OUTING FOR OUR WEEK OFF- ALSO STOPPED FOR DINNER AT CHEVY'S FRESH MEX WHICH WAS GOOD TOO!!! IT HAS BEEN WET AND RAINY HERE MOST OF THE WEEK SO TODAY WAS OUR OPPORTUNITY TO GET OUT! ONE LAST WEEKEND BEFORE WE ALL GO BACK TO WORK AND SCHOOL......
(OH, BY THE WAY, I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY PRESCRIPTION/INSURANCE ISSUE STRAIGHTENED OUT, SO I WOULD LIKE TO THANK CONNIE AND GLENN FOR HELPING ME THROUGH WITH SOME LOANERS UNTIL I DO)
LOVE YOU & THANK YOU BOTH!!!

Kaylee got to spend some quality time Tues night with her sister Chloe. Chloe came over and spent the night with her. I took J and K too visit their mom and sisters Tuesday after K's dentist appt. and then Chloe came back home with us and J stayed there with his mom and baby Ashlyn. K and Chloe had fun and played dress up and watched movies together...Chloe had never really been away for the night from Nana, Papa and mommy before but she did great.

Finally, one of his top teeth fell out. He was eaten a sandwich and halfway through he came running in yelling, Titi, Titi, Look-, and it was just hangin there, I grabbed a napkin and it came right out.....The other is pretty loose too- it won't be long! Posted by Picasa
Took the kids and Lexi up to the park this am after I stopped by the office. They had a blast riding their bikes throughout the walkways there and Eric and J played catch too. Posted by Picasa
